Create possibility to separate attachments from emails to save space

I used Eudora emailcliënt when I used windows. I was really happy with the feature that it was able to delete attachments from the emails. Even better, it separated them at receival, and put the attachments in a specified directory.
Thunderbird does a good job by being able to delete the attachments from the email, leaving the email without the attachments (saves space!)

Now, I would be really happy if Evolution came with a feature similar to the one Eudora had, or, at least, being able to delete the attachments from the email.
That way I can store the attachments on my harddisk in appropriate directories, without having to keep them in my mailbox. Now it grows unnecessary.
