Empathy to be able to sign into accounts as status other than "online"

Empathy is the default IM client for Ubuntu and it should be able to sign into accounts as a status that is not "online" such as "away" or "invisible". Pidgin supports this feature but current Empathy does not. An extention to this would be to sign into different accounts with different default statuses for example into MSN as away but AIM as online and GTalk as invisible.
