Make music even more accessible through indicator
I think it would be really hot to approach musicplaying on the desktop more like an MP3 player. With that I mean the following behaviour:
You're listening to an album, then you come across an annoying song. You get your iPod out of your pocket, have a look at the songs on the album and move to the next song. Then three songs later you hear a great song you never really noticed, so you decide to give it a 4-star rating. Or you simply want to rewind part of the song.
Noise is great for uploading a huge library which you can then search. But for these small simple tasks you don't really need to open up a huge music library; you will want something straight-forward like an iPod.
I'm not suggesting rocketscience here; the idea is extremely simple: http://
This would prove a great solution when Noise is closed but still playing (part of the strategy). Make the menu a bit smaller, make long titles scroll horizontally on hover, make long album titles always scroll, add back/pause/
It would be an indicator for Noise though, since the music indicator allows you to control the volume of the whole pc. It might be re-inventing wheel but I think it would be worth it.
Likewise, I think the current album/playlist should also be present in the Noise sidebar, so that you can stay on top of your playing music while you explore the depths of your library. Once you pick an album, it should remain easily accessible. Having to re-search the album is bad for the UX.
