Infinality is a mixed bag in regard to readability, e.g. the WebUpd8 infinality example looks way harder to read on my monitor, even though the pixel order for the subpixel smoothing matches that of my monitor.
Moreover, Infinality patches have questionable stability and we don't have the resources to perform representative regression testing, left alone acting upon the regressions we find. So we will not mess with infinality until it's merged in upstream freetype, or at least in Ubuntu. --shnatsel
