A system to manage all windows, workspaces, fullscreen application

Registered by Satchit Bhogle

This is an idea for a feature similar to OSX's Mission Control, but in a more interactive way, combining Scale and Workspaces. It can perhaps be implemented as a Compiz Plugin, or as an application in itself.

I've looked at the way some other OSes handle macro-window management, as well as some mockups. Look at the full specifications to get a better idea. This new macro-handler can interact with indicators and move, close, open and sort windows.

Basically what you want it's mission control + workspace division + unity-launcher API compatible ~sheosi

Looks nice. Thanks for such a complete description! ~shnatsel

I have found a mockup which it's exactly what you say:

It's not quite exactly what I said, because it still has the problem of too-small window previews. Now, I only hope that this gets coded for elementary. ~satchitb

I don't get it now :/ Could you provide a mockup?
We have a gnome-shell-ish approach to workspace management at the moment. ~shnatsel
