Whiteboard
The elementary-account could also be used to map a smartphone to an elementary user. On this way we could provide a plugin (Account in Android) which adds sharing possibilities like "Read on PC" ~Steffen
If this were implemented it would have to be it's own entity. no sense in forking an existing system (e.g. Ubuntu One) and just creating a duplicate, renamed system. I like the direction and the possible applications but in executing it I think it should be separate. completely it's own. --VoxCannon
We should also consider syncing basic settings like language and desktop background between elementary devices logged in with the same account.
--Jared
On a technical note something I'd like to see in an Operating System's "cloud" services is for the syncing be done directly and encrypted rather than through an intermediary, maybe using something like SyncThing. This would make it more secure for users and quite possibly easier for the Elementary folks to maintain. Ofcourse should eMail or chat services be provided we'd still want that central cloud in order to play well with others -- Adrian Cochrane.
