Filesystem-to-LibraryKit migration mechanism

Many people have their data already organized in the filesystem. For example, Pictures folder may have subfolders "Funny" and "Art", and "Art" in turn may have subfolders organized by author. We should provide a way to migrate such directory layout to LibraryKit.
It will be especially important for gracefully transitioning filesystem-based workflows like programming on the fly; this will allow e.g. listing and managing files from a specific project or branch in librarykit.
