Should there be options in switchboard to turn some of these things off (I, for one, would turn off pause music if headphones are unplugged). I know that it might be kind of hard to drop Gnome CC's audio settings, but hypothetically would you include options for this stuff? ~CameronNemo

Yes, if there were options to be configured they should exist in the system sound settings. --DanRabbit

It appears there's now a module for PulseAudio 4 called "module-role-ducking" that does some of the stuff earcandy used to do with raising and lowering volumes based on priority --DanRabbit

Interesting... On plugging in new relevant hardware, there could be a 5-second popup asking if they want to switch output to the new device. The settings are saved for each new device so that the user is not asked again and again. --st
