Switch between day and night mode themes
This is something that is lacking in all OSes. It would be interesting to implement a feature like this, which is enabled via settings, to allow a user to enable/disable a lighter theme during the day and a darker theme at night.

Or enable the 'dark style' of the theme instead of another theme. For example, Eye of Gnome is displayed with dark style with the Adwaita theme.
Also, IMHO it's not useful so I don't think they are going to implement this.

Why do you want darker theme at night? Dark themes are for professional apps (like Blender) and apps that display images, videos, etc. What about changing stuff like screen brightness and color balance (like f.lux or redshift) instead? --grzesiek1e5
Marking this as "obsolete". I don't have any plans to force the dark theme upon developers. They can choose to have a dark/light switch in their app if it makes sense for them. But the choice to use a dark or light theme is completely in the hands of developers. --DanRabbit
