I shouldn't have made it sound like there's nothing we can do. For
short term, I'm not convinced that the lower filename
"ECRYPTFS_FNEK_ENCRYPTED." prefix is all that necessary. But that
really isn't going to help a whole lot.

Long term, we may be able to leave the encrypted filename out of the
actual filename in the lower directory and place it in the header of the
file. The filename in the lower directory could be something unique
(possibly random) with an indication to extract the encrypted filename
from the file header. I believe that design was considered by the guy
who implemented the current filename encryption feature, but I can't
currently remember all of the problems with that. If more people run
into this problem, I'll revisit this idea.
