Ok, I get it,

I was under (the wrong) impression that ecryptfs would have the same properties as the lower file system...
But it now occurs to me that there isn't an obvious solution.

Thank you anyway, this bug may be closed (in my opinion)
I'll just have to learn not to use very long filenames (I only had a couple of files with such long filenames, so, ok :) )
