Plugin for selecting application window on hover by activating Compiz Scale

Registered by Thiago Teixeira

If an app has multiple windows, only one icon is shown in Docky, and Bob must cycle through all windows to select the desired one. Instead, Bob should just hover the icon on Docky, which would then activate Compiz's Scale plugin (similar to Mac OS's "Exposé"), allowing Bob to select the desired window.

This also works well for drag-and-drop.

All in all, this feature has been added in a different form factor to Windows 7. When the user hovers an application on the task bar, a popup appears showing all the different windows that are open for that application. The difference here is that we would use the already-existing Scale plugin for simplicity and visual consistency.

Whiteboard

Please refrain from using the Blueprints as a wishlist.

The proper procedure for getting new features into Docky is to:

1) file a bug asking for the feature
2) we will mark that bug as 'wishlist'
3) we will discuss generally on the bug report
4
) *IF* we decide to implement it and it is non-trivial, *WE* will make a blueprint for it
