Dock-barx mock-up
So i changed the blueprint to make more sense since the last one didn`t :)
So to make clear what the drawing is about :
When you have only one window open the it will be displayed in the panel normal :)
When there are more windows open (group) the active window will always sit in the panel and the other in the pop-up.
Now i think the right click menu blueprint i proposed makes more sense,
If the active window is always in the panel then we can close only that window with the right-click shortcuts and not close the hole group like the current behavior or go to the pop-up and close from there the current window.
So hope you like something

Matias: First I want to say that I like the looks of your mockup. Secondly I like to explain why I won't implement it (fully at least). To me one of the most important features of dockbarx is the fact that your most used programs (your launchers) never move. The program is operated from the same few pixels of your screen, whether the program is running or not. Your blueprint would have launchers moving to the side to make room for the title.
Matias: I like the horizontal look of the programs window list though. The window list is meant to be made themeable sooner or later and when that happens I will try to make a look like this possible. I have a functionality concern, though. Should the program list still open and close on mouse over and out or should it have to be clickable whit a such small and wide list?
Wheal the window list would be as wide as the curent window list with only one window open so i don`t think is small.
As for what you don`t like how about making it expand only on mouse over? That would not affect that much "the most important feature of dockbarx"
I think i should merge my two blueprints into one to make it easier to see as a full and then you can take whatever you like out of it .
