Set the items to have a vertical instead horizontal order/placement...
and make wider the space between the fields/sections...
or put a border around to separate them.

One goal when designing the preference dialog was to make small enough to fit a 1024x600 screen. That means it can't be made much bigger vertically than it is now. I tried to frame the sections some time ago, but that didn't turn out well. I might take a new look at it sometimes soon. /Matias
