Auto remove typed text after delay if type new text

I come from a mac and am very addicted to quicksilver, the way the input works is much more intuitive, if you stop typing for a short amount of time possibly configurable and then start typing again it will start at the beginning again, having to "delete" what you type is counter intuitive and slows down entry.
