deemphasize Latest changes list on front page and on the what's nearby page

Lastest Changes does not need to be so long (15 entries) and looks a bit stale when some updates late on the list are years ago (as in the Ohio list). The list is also not very relevant on the what's nearby page - that space could be better served with features on the search results. Maybe reduce the list to 4 and plan to replace it on the what's nearby page with listing + description of nearby entries plus "featured" links of sponsoring or DSO organizations that are looking for general web traffic?
