Add a list of recent project directories to the startup page to select from
Convenience, agreed, but this would be really handy to not having to browse until I find my last project...

Whiteboard
Horst, this is a great idea.
It would require saving information in the user's home directory (inside ~/.config).
Some background: I've been avoiding doing this for a long time, since I don't like when files "hang around" after someone has removed a package; then the user has to go and locate all of the (hidden) configuration files for an application, and manually delete them. This is why the only configuration file is the "cubic.conf" which is not a hidden file. All Cubic files for a project reside ~inside~ the project directory; it's easy for the user to see that and delete it, if they need to.
I understand your situation, where you just want to launch Cubic and quickly find your (old) projects, and this is a very valid use case. I also like the idea of improving usability.
If we make Cubic save information in the user's home directory (inside ~/.config/cubic), it would also allow including other features that require application "state" information, in the future.
