Hi,
I think it would be better to move output printing from client.py to [/usr/bin/]command-not-found. It will increse decoupling and someone can make new interfaces more easily. Especially KDE interface, called from kmenu when application isn't installed, could be delicious. Are you interested in patches against trunk?

This functionality is already present in 0.4.x branch. Basically the client just creates the text frontend and asks it to give advise about specified command. Multiple backends are possible too. I'm good with revisiting this blueprint around beta release to see if anything can be improved.
