Amberjack alone has no competitor in plone products.
The best way to promote amberjack coincides in the strategy of promoting plone, a plone guided tour showing plone and how it works.
These objectives are the same e.g. of plonegov.it (sharing solutions and spreading the use of plone): it's a neutral and super-partes voice.

The strategy

Open a plone demo site, a sandbox site for users not knowing plone.

This site (or it product specific susbsites) can also be the place where to demo or tour other products, this to gather orther developer in amberjacking. This can be the strategy to make other developer adopt amberjack.
Raise one level up from the problem, to reach one level down users. One other step beyond can be plone.org/documentation section (or a plone resource center section/product/add on) this when amberjack is mature enough to be end-user-friendly and can be easy to create amberjack tours.

Where

The right place is demo.plone.org like other cms (http://demo.joomla.org/, ..) but is mainteined by (and redirected to) http://www.sixfeetup.com/ (we can ask them if they are interested in hosting it or at least maintain the domain).
The strategy in promoting plone in a learn-by doing demo can be the same of plone foundation, and demo.plone could be the right place both for amberjack and plone (and should never be redirected to a a .com company like now)

To start:
a sandbox plone demo site, 1st hosted/registered by an italian public admin, named plonedemo(.net)
connect to wikipedia and plone.it (1st google page for "cms" search)
connect to plonegov.it (and its partner) since regione emilia romagna is involved in this developing
