Filter system for ceilometer for logging of data

Currently celiometer swift middleware logs all the data. but in case user want to log data for some ip and not for others, or log data for only certain kind of request, then this filter should allow the user to do so. this system will be plugin based so user may write their own filter for their own case.be
this concept may also applied to all the ceilometer middleware where logging of user data is required.
