Make it more clear that pressing enter starts the first found item
Currently it is not clear that when the search function is used, pressing enter starts the first found item. As this is a great feature, it should be made more obvious.

I am still not happy with the proposed solution. I don't think it's clear enough from your mockup, that pressing Enter will activate the top result. I will keep thinking about this one.

While it looks more like a selection, it may confuse because that is normally only used for one element at a time: The one that has the focus (although I don’t think users will either know or care).
And a minor annoyance that goes with the search function: If you use the arrow keys to navigate to the following results, you instead change down to the views. While this makes sense because the views are below the search field, as soon as we find a solution / marking technique for this, it should be changed.

I always find myself pressing tab to mark the first one before pressing enter. I think we should just go with the overlay that is used for marking tab position as well (mockup 2).
If it does not fit after all, we can change it then. But we need _something_ in place there. ;)
