Enhance CanDo Capacity to Show Competency Progress for Quarterly Grading

Instructors need ways to monitor progress on competencies that can be summarized for quarterly grades. I can think of two ways:
1) Show total competency points achieved to date (assuming there are 100 competencies, a student has a total of 77 points out of a possible 400). This way, the instructor can give those points a single value in the overall grading system.
2) Allow an instructor to define a subset of competencies to be included in a report view. This subset could be named "third quarter competencies", and then show point totals and averages for that subset of competencies. In this way, instructors can monitor progress on a set of competencies that is assigned for a quarter.
