Sending merge directives

The submit command sends a merge-directive that merges the changes in the local branch to a submit branch, in a format and over a transport that is (optionally) specified by the submit branch. This results in the maintainer of the submit branch getting merge directives at their preferred address in a preferred format.
It is similar in use to 'darcs send' or 'hg send'.
