Hum, I was more thinking of making http://developer.ubuntu.com/packaging/html/ more inviting and reassuring. If you have any suggestions for text that could go there, that'd be great.

 - The word 'communuity' should be in there
 - Say 'welcome' more often - say that it's official
 - "don't panic"? :)
 - "After reading this guide, you will be able to ..."
