Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Edit a existing mail account ( I changed "Leave messages on server" on the "Receiving Options" tab ). Then click "Ok" -> Crash. This does not happen all the time. Couldn't reproduce it with dbgsyms installed, though.

Maybe this should reported upstream, as this gnome version is still beta. Additional note: for beta releases of gnome in unstable ubuntu versions, bugs in gnome apps should really be reported to bugzilla.gnome.org instead of launchpad. Much less work.

ProblemType: Bug

DistroRelease: Ubuntu 7.04
Uname: Linux gnome-testing 2.6.20-8-generic #2 SMP Tue Feb 13 05:18:42 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux

Thanks for your bug report. Please try to obtain a backtrace http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and attach the file to the bug report. This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem.

We do send bugs to launchpad because apport makes easy to get debug backtraces where bug-buddy is flooding upstream of non-debug backtraces which are not really useful

Then apport needs to be improved. This bug report was created through apport. Still couldn't reproduce. Maybe should be closed.

closing it then, feel free to reopen if you can get the asked backtrace. Maybe you faced some network problem or something the other apport bugs are sent correctly with a backtrace. Did you use the "send a bug" dialog opened after the crash?
