Bug Description

Unfortunately this bug is intermittant, sometimes opening a new Firefox tab or
restarting Firefox solves it.

To reproduce :

1. Open gnome-terminal

2. Open firefox, and go to this bugzilla and "file a new bug"

3. Attempt to copy some information from gnome-terminal (select with mouse and
select "copy" from Edit menu) into the bug report

4. "Paste" item in Firefox's Edit menu is greyed out, Ctrl-V doesn't work, etc.

It works perfectly for me.

Mary, does this happen with all content on all web pages, or only certain web
pages or text?

Once it starts happening, it happens on all webpages, but is fixed by a firefox
restart. I'll take better notes the next time it happens.

does it still happen ? Do you have some extra details ?

Mary Gardiner (puzzlement) wrote :

The only extra details I have is that it seems to be part of a more general
problem in which firefox will get into a state where the keyboard shortcuts
don't work. I don't have a reproducible way of getting it into this state,
although it happens reasonably regularly to me.

Does this still happen after the downgrade to 0.9.3?

I can't tell sorry, I've switched to Epiphany for all but a very few websites.
I'm not entirely sure -- did I report this during the time when Ubuntu was using
1.0pre?

no, the bug report has been open the "2004-09-14" and 0.99 has been uploaded
the "2004-09-22"

It's unlikely I've seen it since the 0.99 upgrade then, and I've barely used it
at all since the 0.93 downgrade.

ok, no duplicate of this one for some time and no new comment, perhaps that's
fixed in the new version. I'm closing the bug now, feel free to reopen if that
happens again.
