Binary package hint: evolution-data-server-common

From Bug #72125: Daylight Saving changes in Western Australia

Western Australia is going to be starting a trial of Daylight Saving on December 3, 2006 until March 31, 2007, moving us from UTC+8 to UTC+9 over that time period.

This has been fixed in dapper and edgy in the tzdata package (approved for update to respective updates as at 15/01/07) but the evolution ICS file remains unchanged.

The file that (I believe) requires fixing is:

/usr/share/evolution-data-server-1.8/zoneinfo/Australia/Perth.ics

Updated zoneinfo file for Australia/Perth for daylight savings. Edit (465 bytes, text/calendar)

BTW, I've updated my local copy of the file /usr/share/evolution-data-server-1.8/zoneinfo/Australia/Perth.ics as per attachement.

I think this is correct (and appears to work), but should be checked.

I have had a problem with mine as well. America/Chicago timezone. I modified Chicago.ics and it worked. There is an update timezones patch in gnome-bug #301363 that needed to be upstream (submitted) to Ubuntu Dapper & Edgy updates.

What the hell?!? I received updates today (including evolution, evolution-data-server, evolution-plugins & lib files). The appointment in Clock applet does NOT match appointment in evolution again! I don't understand why the patch (#301363) was not implemented?! <off to fix Chicago.ics>
