kvpnc doesn't start: bus not found

Binary package hint: kvpnc

I cannot start kvpnc. Here it is the output in the terminal:

I think there is a permission problem, because it starts with my normal user (however it says that I must be root to use it and closes):

Using directly sudo to invoke the command also produces an error:
