Nautilus creating directory on NTFS partition

Bug Description

Hello,

Ubuntu edgy - one partition mounted using ntfs-3g

- console: I can create files with touch and directories with mkdir
- nautilus: I can create files but NOT directories.

"generic error" when I try to create one directory :(

some idea?

Thank you for your bug. Does "ntfs-3g" allow to mount ntfs permission with writing mode? Can you explain how to install it and getting it to work? Do you have the same issue using gnomevfs-mkdir from a command line?

Yes, the ntfs-3g now can be able to write on this partitions :)

I think that the problem is, on edgy, the locale on fstab:

#/dev/hda1 /windows ntfs-3g auto,silent,locale=pt_BR.iso88591,umask=0 0 0
/dev/hda1 /windows ntfs-3g silent,umask=0,silent,locale=en_US.utf8 0 0

Using english now works as well!

Hi,

You should choose your locale according to how your system is actually set.
To get all the configuration supported by your system, try 'locale -a' in a terminal, and choose according to what is your default language.
I guess it should be pt_BR.utf8 or something.
