Bug Description

Once daily builds are up-and-running, we'll need to think about how people who want to use them will actually find them. There should probably be some way for people to discover projects that have a bleeding-edge build available.

Sorry about the vague bug. This is definitely a thing to address, the first step is becoming clearer on what the thing is.

Currently we track all daily builds on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DailyBuilds/AvailableDailyBuilds - an automatic list in LP would be nicer.

There are already ways to discover daily builds, e.g. each branch page provides a link to a listing.

Please describe
- which people should be able to find them
- where they should be able to find them from

Part of our goal with the daily builds project is to build a community around daily builds. A key part of this is having a way for people to be able to see some list of the daily builds that are being done in Launchpad. Unfortunately, my certainty ends here.

Something like a page that shows the ten most popular daily builds and the ten most recent daily builds would be an excellent start, particularly if it linked through to other lists and to a guided process for making your own daily build.

Any idea of how to measure "popular"?

I can't speak for Jorge, but I think in our discussions we were vaguely envisioning something that'd either go onto https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/ or https://code.launchpad.net/ubuntu/ with a link named "1345 package recipes" and "1052 daily builds". This would give you a list like this:

|| package || link to recipe || link to ppa ||

Not sure how easy it is to do this, but it'd replace https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DailyBuilds/AvailableDailyBuilds

Popular would presumably be measured by PPA downloads.
