Bug Description

Binary package hint: bzip2

We almost all use multithreading capable computers. And nearly nothing on linux uses that !

pbzip2 offer a really good solution ! The performances are the same as standard bzip2 on no multi possessors systems. And pbzip2 use exactly the same compression (total compatibility bzip2 -> pbzip2; pbzip2 -> bzip2)

Using pbzip2 directly could show our interest about using the real potential of recent computers.

And can increase slightly the .deb installation performances if we use bzip2 in a future standard. (I am dreaming for that last one ...)

Wishlist? why so? replacing bzip2's package with a dummy package pointing at pbzip2 and having a symlink from bzip2 to pbzip2 is all that would have to be done. Then everyone would be like "woah! ubuntu compresses things soooo fast!" (maybe that would just be me... who knows.)
