Bug Description
[I would have filed this against the ubuntu-seeds project, but launchpad wouldn't let me]
Please add apport to the default install of ubuntu-server, now that bug 354172 has been addressed, and the cli version of apport will no longer pull in gdb by default. This should have no impact on the rest of the distribution, and apport is already seeded to be included on the ubuntu-server cdimages; it's just not installed by default, so there should be no impact on the ubuntu-server cd size. Installing apport adds about 2.5MB to the resulting installed ubuntu-server system (on amd64).
The benefit of accepting this is that we can then advise everywhere that people should file bugs via ubuntu-bug, with all the benefits that bugs filed with apport entail (per package-hooks, etc.).
This is for blueprint:
Thanks.
