Bug Description

Two-year-old home-brew Intel P4, 1gig main mem, 100gig HD ide Seagate, nVidia FX5200, no bluetooth, no wireless net, yada-yada vanilla system. I clicked the desktop installer icon and everything went well until partitioning step came up (step 6 of 7), then crash :-(
