Hello,

I think you will have to check if any analytic entry lines of that analytic journal is there or not.

GO to Financial Management/Entries Encoding/Analytic Entries/Entries Encoding by Line and check entries of your analytic journal.

Provide information if you still feel its problem-causing.
Thanks.

Hi Jay,

Yes, the entry lines in the Analytic Journal exist. My question is shouln' this be carried forward in the Financial Accounting side since I defined a General account as well?

Thank you.

no, this must generate analytic lines only.

Hi Jay,

I just wanted to clarify -- the fix you created will now enable the creation of a journal entry (via the General Account) in the Financial Accounting side on top of the Analytic entries?

Or is it a case that the process ends after the generation of the analytic entries after the Production done state?

Thank you.

Hi,

The actual error resided in the report file, where it was not showing any value for the column of General account.

General account definately has the journal entries.

I honestly didn't get your second arguement.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

you keep asking if still you find this confusing.

Hi Jay,

I just have to clarify the function of the field 'General Account.' In the workcenters form, I have the fields Analytic Journal, Analytic Account and General Account.

I see that the analytic entries are being generated after I click on 'Production done.' However, I don't see these values being posted to the financial side (Financial Management --> Configuration -- > Financial Accounting).

The reason I'm asking if this is carried forward to Financial Accounting is because my Balance Sheet and Income Statement (shortcut via Chart of Accounts preview) should report 1.) A decrease in raw materials inventory after the completion of a production order; 2.) An increase in expense incurred from the production.

My assumption is that the link between the Analytic accounting entries and that of Financial Accounting is the General Account. If the General Account is functioning properly (a financial accounting entry is generated simultaneously with the analytic entries), then that should ensure that my Financial statements report the correct account balances.

Thank you.
