Bug Description

I guess I am using 6.0.10 ;-)

there seems to be code in python-mode.el which whipes out trailing whitespaces from the code... without user's intent/consent/configuration it must not happen!

Although I do wipe then out generally (that is why I haven't spotted this bug before), this time I needed to work out a minimalistic patch to somebody's code and got annoyed that diff becomes large after my interaction with the code in python-mode.
