This is done via the BlueMapia Web API that allows to communicate with the Bluemapia Server to do perform several searches: search for placemarks and pois on the bluemapia site, search a place even if not present as a placemark or poi on bluemapia (geonames.org), search other layers through a generic open interface to provide a way to show layers from wikipedia, panormaio, flickr, etc. Bluemapia search itsefl will be implemented through this open interface.
