OCR for scanning quote texts

Use OCR software for automatically recognizing text so it can be imported as quotes.
Possible software with compatible BSD license (as far as I understand):

Users would need to make pictures (either with cam or screenshots [of pdf for example]) and then be able to mark the interesting lines - these would be ocr scanned to recognize the text and the text be imported.
Needs:
- Image cutting (or some sort of whitening that only the text to be recognized is still there)
- Mass import of pictures
The source image should be imported as file as well, to later catch and correct recognition errors.
