Show a Soundcloud-like Audio Graph on the Progress Slider

I received a PM on the site and figured I'd file it here. :)
The suggestion was to show an audio signal graph on the progress slider, like the players on SoundCloud.com. It's an interesting concept and may be worth some discussion and design ideas.
