Packaging: Including non-critical modules as separate packages in the PPA

Registered by Thomas Ward

I got this idea lately, about how various programs in the Ubuntu repositories are packaged, such as Apache, where its various modules are individually packaged separately. Having said that, I propose that when we package BBot 8.0.0, we split it up into various packages, having a 'bbot' package that contains the base program and API, as well as base modules, and individual packages for other modules, such as 'bbot-module-trekbot' for the trekbot module. Opinions on how we should package this are needed.

NOTE: This specification depends on a change in bbot-makeconf, which is dependent on the specification 'bbot-makeconf-interactive'. The dependency map is shown below.

Whiteboard

Yes, this is definitely a good idea. However, there are not many modules available that we would need it right now. Maybe if I (or someone else) ever gets around to writing a werewolf module, we can test with that.

As this project is also dependent on an interactive bbot-makeconf, i'll set this to "Deferred" until we address the interactive makeconf as well.
