import taxon data from external source

I follow the menu <insert> <species> and I get a window where I can fill in data for the species.
some of this data is available from external sources, like http://www.ipni.org.
it would be nice if there was the option "query external source", I would get a "query ipni" window where I could select the entry I really mean to insert in the database, I would get back to the "plant species editor" window with some of the fields pre-filled from the external source.
this would be particularly useful when inserting a forma, variety or subspecies.
