Would be great to have something similar like TimeVault [1], Timeslider (from btrfs or zfs resp.) [2,3,4,5] or other examples [6] showing the size and growth graphically. Just brainstorming here. I like TimeSlider best [5, marked with "Previous Snapshot"] best. It could show three sizes with different colours (similar to TimeVault):

A. restore size ("virtual size", estimated disc size needed if I was to restore this very state, i.e. dereferenced links)
B. total snapshot disk size
C. disk size of partly (selected) snapshot

If I am not mistaken most of the times it should always be (except users data is partly deleted and doesn't grow much): A > B > C

Anyhow, it might be a petty detail. I would prefer to have it at the bottom of the screen. Have the top for settings/search/menu/icons and the bottom for that time slider stuff, even greater with navigation possibility, i.e. selecting snapshots for restore/compare options.

Cheers.
