Option to prevent all windows from overlapping AWN

While the option to have maximized windows not overlap AWN is a useful start, it is not as useful for some users. For example, a person with a widescreen monitor may not with to maximize his browser, stretching text to unreadable levels, but would like to stretch the browser vertically to a certain point above the toolbar every time. In this case it would also be beneficial to be able to match that bottom location with another window in use, which may not even be maximized. With a normal toolbar this is a simple matter of a threshold, which is something AWN already seems to have in it's 'maximize' option. Can this be used to give users the option to apply a threshold to the toolbar for the situation I've mentioned?
