Try the following command on multi-headed systems.
avant-windows-
avant-windows-
The second one will not work because there is already an instance running.
gnome-panel is enable on all heads by default, but there is no way to enable awn.

Awn allows creating multiple panels, but you can't start the main binary multiple times as of now. Just create new panel using awn-settings and drag it to the screen you want.
