Fade out the AWN bar instead of moving it offscreen

I'd like to see an option to fade out the whole awn bar instead of dragging it off screen when autohide is enabled. Additionally, there is a bug in the timed autohide where the bar fails to unhide, should the mouse be moved outside it while the unhide animation is still ongiong.
