IRC/Libpurple Applet

I just made a blueprint on the awn-python-applets page. It basically just says that there should be a IRC or Lib Purple applet, which uses either Libpurple for IM and IRC, or the existing Meebo applet to make it go to a Java or Flash file, which can then connect to IRC.
Could be made of anything, I know no languages so I can't do anything :|
