Add a PPA via a web browser
Since most third party apps are obtained through a PAA, and users must add that ppa for individual apps, I propose Elementary should adopt a method for adding a PPA via posted link ( like APTPPA:// ). As it stands now, the only methods to add a ppa are:
- Via terminal (Think *BIG* picture, do most windows users use the 1980's command prompt?).
- Using the 'software and updates' plug, which asks you to enter a "Complete APT line ..."
Both of these are command-like and very unituitive. It's foolish we use these methods when we typically are looking right at the ppa when we want to add it, and the information has to cross a silly 'gap'.
Even if mainstream (ubuntu or ubuntu minded) developers are slow to adopt this feature, community driven/elementary HIG following dev most likely will adopt this feature making elementary just that -- more elementary.
