Word de-compounder and compounder for Apertium

Write a de-compounder and compounder for Apertium. Many languages in the world have compound words, in Europe e.g. German, Dutch, Danish, etc. These are often very low frequency or completely novel, and as such do not exist in our dictionaries. If we had some software to split these into their constituent parts we might be able to translate them, and improve accuracy on our pairs with these languages.
