More end-user friendly PPA adding instructions
Currently, the instructions are such:
"If you're on Ubuntu Hardy, you can add the following repository to /etc/apt/
deb http://
deb-src http://
Followed by sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get install alarm-clock-applet"
This is great if the end-user is comfortable with the terminal - but if they aren't, they'll a) get stuck on editing sources.list (root privs), b) not know where to add the lines.
I propose instructions below that cover both the terminal and the non terminal people:
If you're on Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron", there is a Launchpad PPA available. To add it, follow either instructions of your preference below:
<b>Graphical way</b>
Go to System - Administration - Software Sources, click on the Third-Party Software tab, Add, and paste this line in:
deb http://
Then click Add Source, Close, and Reload.
<b>After</b> that, simply click here (<a href="apt:alarm-
<b>Terminal way</b>
If you're on Ubuntu Hardy, you can add the following repository to /etc/apt/
deb http://
deb-src http://
Followed by sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get install alarm-clock-applet
