The distractionless text-formatting for the best distractionless text editor!

Registered by Ilya Ilembitov

In my opinion, one of the easiest (and KISS, by the way) tools for making a rich-formated text is txt2tags. This is a lightweight markup language that allows user to define text beautifiers, paragraph styling, tables, lists, URLs, images - simply by adding tags. And still, those tags are really intuitive, which makes text look like some ASCII thing - and hence, it remains perfectly readable. txt2tags is easy to learn and is lightweight itself, since this is actually just a ~150 kb Python script. So I believe, txt2tags is a perfect companion to PyRoom, which results in a Zen-effective AbiWord-replacement, suitable for most tasks. And I believe, it would be very cool if PyRoom had syntax highlight for txt2tags. Besides, it would be nice, if the user could specify output format in PyRoom, which means that his t2t-formatted text can be converted to (x)html/etc right away, without dealing with the console!
