Provide an alternative database service to vertical scaling DBs for data that doesn't require high consistency

There is a significant gap between the two primary OpenStack data storage services MySQL/Trove and Swift. Application developers needing to store, index, and query row data will naturally gravitate towards MySQL. However, the operational burden of scaling MySQL to very large data sets and query load will then fall to the application developer. MagnetoDB must provide an attractive alternative to traditional vertically scaling SQL databases for large amounts of simple row data, where eventual consistency is sufficient.
